Accessibility Statement
Palco wants anyone to be able to buy a ticket and get into an event, with or without a disability, with or without assistive technology. This statement describes where we stand, what is already done and what is not.
1. Conformance status
We work to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. Conformance is partial: most criteria are met, and those that are not are known and listed below.
2. What is already in place
- Contrast. Text and background colours were measured against the surfaces they sit on and meet the 4.5:1 minimum required for body text, in both light and dark themes.
- Touch targets. Interactive elements are at least 48 pixels across on mobile.
- Keyboard. The entire purchase can be completed without a mouse, and focus is always visible.
- Structure. Pages use hierarchical headings, lists and landmark regions, so a screen reader can navigate by jumps instead of reading from the top.
- Not colour alone. No information is conveyed by colour alone: states always carry text or a symbol.
- Language. Every page declares the language it is written in.
- Motion. There is no flashing content and no prolonged automatic animation.
3. Known limitations
- The ticket entry code is a two-dimensional barcode. There is always a readable, dictatable text alternative for anyone who cannot present the code — but that alternative takes an extra step at the door.
- Payment components are provided by Stripe and their accessibility is not under our direct control.
- Content written by organisers — event descriptions, cover images — depends on whoever writes it. We provide the tools; we cannot guarantee the alternative text of an image someone else uploaded.
4. Telling us something does not work
If you hit a barrier, write to apoio@palco.cloud with the page address and a description of what happened. We reply within 10 working days.
If you are not satisfied with our reply, you may complain to the competent accessibility and consumer protection authorities.
